David Stewart is the Band Director at Graham-Kapowsin High School. Stewart graduated Central Washington University in 2018, where he majored in Music Education and Music Performance. While at Central, Stewart studied clarinet with Joseph Brooks and played principal clarinet in the Wind Ensemble for five years. He is a CWU Concerto Competition winner and performed as a featured soloist with both the Symphony Orchestra and the Wind Ensemble. In 2017, he received the National Band Association's Outstanding Musician Award, and in 2018, was featured as a guest soloist at the College Band Directors National Association Conference.
Aaron Julyan is the Band and Orchestra Director at Graham-Kapowsin High School. Julyan earned two undergraduate degrees from Central Washington University in Music Education and Music Performance. In 2011, he also received his Masters in Music Performance from CWU. Julyan has been an in-demand teacher, working with band and orchestra since 2012. This will be his second year in the Bethel School District. Julyan is also a very accomplished performing musician, performing regularly with orchestral groups including the Olympia Symphony Orchestra and the Yakima Symphony Orchestra.
